Sunburn happens with the ultraviolet radiation of sun and it affects the most sensitive tissue of man and that is skin. It happen when skin gets exposed to the most dangerous radiations of sun and mostly in summers or very hot weather. It is not that it happens only to man’s skin animals also get affected with this. The symptom of this skin problem is that it the area on which it happen gets red or reddish, and they get sensitive to touch, some people also feel pain and if it gets severe people start feeling weariness and dizziness. In most extreme cases it can become a life threatening disease if the ultraviolet or also known as UV radiations get over excessive, it can also produce suntan.
The worst fact about these rays is that they can cause skin tumor which will be non-malignant. The best thing to prevent is the regular use of sunscreen, even if you are not going into the sun; you should use it nevertheless, especially those people who are living in a country where hot weather can get very dangerous. Sunscreen is not just to prevent sunburn, there are other diseases of skin too which can be prevented with it. It is also very important to wear a hat and other clothing that will not let your skin to get exposed in sun such as gloves. A Hat will protect your head as well as shade your eyes and gloves will save your arms and hands.
Another way to prevent it is by restrain sun tan, it increase the amount of melanin which is a photoprotective pigment, it itself work as the natural defense against UV rays. Both overexposure and increase can cause the death of DNA and mostly skin get replaced with new skin.
The first system of the starting of this disease will be redness on the skin which is known as erythema and after some the red skin will start paining which depends on two things the duration for the exposure and the power of it. There are other symptoms of this issue and that are nausea, itching, rash, edema, skins gets peeling, syncope, chills and fever. The patient will also feel little bit heated skin on the area that has been affected and it happen because of the increase in the absorption of blood while it start heeling, it will feel a little bit warm on the affected area.
In it get severe blistering can occur but it normal and lighter cases there will be only a slight redness or skin will get sensitive, in most intense case patient can need to talk to hospital.
It can happen within the fifteen minutes of the exposure or if you are in an open or field area it can happen just in seconds but the sign of it will take time to get showing.
